Beat the Winter Blues

After a while, winter’s cold, dark months can get to us. It always starts to get to me around this time. The “winter blues” is a very real thing, and seasonal depression can be difficult to break out of. This series will provide poses that can uplift your spirits again, and help to deal with those bleaker-feeling days.

Part 1 in this series includes poses designed to get your blood flowing and to help you with deep breathing. The simple motion will help to uplift your body and mind.  Part 2 involves variations on simple forward bends, which ease stress and depression.  Part 3 involves poses that help to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which calms the mind and body.  Namaste!
