Basic Postnatal Yoga

Congratulations! You’ve recently had a baby! I, too, recently gave birth, to my fifth child. I understand how you are feeling. The joy, the exhaustion, the wonder, the physical insecurity. Though this is an incredible time, it is also a difficult one, as your body and mind are going through many changes.

Emotions can be particularly difficult at this time. Part one and two of this simple series are meant to be done together, and are designed with forward folds to ease your mind and help with the depression and mental fatigue that are both common and normal during this time. Part three contains some gentle twists and basic poses to help start re-toning your abdomen. Part four demonstrates some basic poses to help to counteract slumping and ease back pain. Enjoy!
